Executive Producer, Ms. Cori Stevenson!

A native of Texas, Cori has been in Memphis for the last three years working on her MFA in Theater Directing with a secondary emphasis in Arts Management at the University of Memphis. She completed this program in May of this year and is teaching part-time at the Theater Department there now.

Her other involvement in the Memphis performing arts scene include a stint with the Greater Memphis Area Arts Council's Center for Arts Education where she worked closely with the Vice President of Education to coordinate scheduling and budgeting for the Partner School programming, budgeting, and educational outreach to the schools. At the University of Memphis, she supervised a lab course for undergraduate students in publicity and promotion which allowed students to have practical experience in developing their skills in the box office, house management, marketing, and event planning. Last spring on the main stage at the U of M she directed a production Alan Ayckbourn's comedy House. Most recently, she was the assistant director of Hello, Dolly at Theatre Memphis.

Elsewhere, Cori has worked as an actress, director, and teacher. She served as the chairman of the theater department at The Academy of Ector in Midland, Texas where she designed the theater curriculum for the first junior high fine arts magnet program in Texas. She spent two seasons with the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, an outdoor Equity theater, as house manager, and has worked at various other theatres directing in Texas. This past summer she enjoyed being involved in the Summer Institute at Lincoln Center and has worked in an international theater exchange program that took her to Guyana, South America for several weeks.

Beyond her varied theatrical experience Cori is the wife of John Paul Stevenson whom you have heard on the radio at 98.1 The Cat or at one of the Memphis Grizzlies home games where he is the public address announcer.
